41 Cooper Square (The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art)
Lobby Typographic Installation
approx. 5'x10'
Milled drywall plaque
2009

41 Cooper Square is one of Morphosis Architects' most recent buildings in New York City. The large-scale installation consists of a typographic composition quoting the institution's founder and spans most of the north facing wall of the lobby facade. The typographic language celebrates the historical legacy of the Cooper Union's commitment to education as well as Morphosis' contemporary approach to a green, democratic and interdisciplinary academic space.

The installation is currently under construction and has not yet been photographed. Working drawings are available upon request.
