UAE Military Museum

In true Morphosis style, this leather-bound, gold-leaf stamped publication is more than just a project document. It’s an artful object presented as a gift to the royal family of the United Arab Emirates as part of the architecture firm’s concept submission to design and build the UAE’s first-ever military museum.

An emblematic articulation of the project’s ode to the area’s military history and technology, the book narrates how the firm's concept tactically embeds itself in the surrounding environment, its pages colored by the geography of the desert and informed by interfaces of military devices and apparatus. Typography and information design are styled to reflect the “language of defense mechanisms” while the oversized landscape format of the book situates the reader in the expanse of the project’s desert location and massive interior volume of the museum campus itself.
