Jonas Salk, scientific conjurer of vaccines and Louis Khan, iconic architect of monolithic brutalist beauties joined forces to bring the sublime, and hopefully the eternal, experience of the Salk Institute into form. Being asked to design the book that would honor this partnership allowed me to visualize the interdependent relationship between science and mystery; two cornerstones of our universe valued by both men.
