The Center is guided by the legacy of its namesake, Sir Arthur C. Clarke, to marry a passion for science and technology with fierce idealism, courageous compassion, and a spirit of adventure to face the significant challenges humanity faces today. They do so committed to a full appreciation of the neurodiversity of imagination—from wildly divergent thinkers and dreamers to aphantasics, or people who do not “see” in their mind’s eye at all—as each making unique and valued contribution to solving grand challenges.
